FAQ

What is eco-resin?

Eco-resin is a mineral based resin alternative that is environmentally friendly. Unlike epoxy, eco-resin contains less than 10% plastic and is sustainably produced. The gypsum used is a widely available, naturally occurring substance deposited within the layers of the sedimentary rocks due to the evaporation of lakes and seawater.  The entire process to source and create eco-resin also uses minimal petrochemical sources.

How else is eco-resin considered environmentally friendly?

On top of being an Earth-kind material, eco-resin is also indefinitely reusable, which helps keep it out of landfills. Any broken, damaged, or excess pieces of resin can be used to create something brand new. There’s no melting or recycling process involved. Eco-resin is self-bonding and can be made into any number of things, such as terrazzo or patchwork planters. If you check out our Zero Waste collection, you’ll see a few propagation stations that were created using broken pieces of eco-resin.
